New Healing Items & Virus Contraction

Add new Healing items and the ability to contract viruses in Pathos III.

Add viruses you can catch around the facility by entering certain areas such as the caves and going very close to crystals.

Upon contracting a virus you will start to cough and have a stink cloud in-front of you. Over time you will cough and take a very small amount of damage and heal from it.

This will add more detail to role-play so MD can have more purpose.

Healing Items:

  • Medical Pen
SD will be given this Medical Pen thingy to heal them and give a slight speed boost in combat since they clearly need it, it’s not really that Class-D’s are overpowered, it’s that SD just don’t have enough skill, so maybe MD/WPO could go to omicron and refill a medical station there with healing pens?

  • Skin Spray
SD will be given skin spray to stop bleeding and heal a lot of health if they receive injuries, this encourages Class-D to win the fight instead of just respawning and going back to the guard line, especially in small servers or at dead hours people will abuse this and shoot SD and if they lose return and take advantage that they have low health, this could would be good to prevent people from just continuously abusing their spawn.

Limited Medical Tools:

All healing items will now have a limit on them!

Examples of this would be.

You have 50/50 rolls of splint when you spawn, after you use the splint you lose a bit of the roll and might need to refill it somewhere.

Combat Medics on the Foundation side will receive less stock of healing items to compensate for them being given Medical Pens and Skin Sprays, of course realistically Class-D’s would still be able to receive a healing item somehow.

Longer Downed Time:

Add a longer downed timer so you have more time to be revived, this gives a better purpose for the Emergency Medical Services when they are added.

Having longer downed times will not increase how long it takes to respawn just instead being able to stay downed for longer.

Injury Punishment:

Having injuries will make you take extra damage, and become slower when you are under the required hunger limit to run. Making people want to be healed even more.

Field Bandage Nerf:

Field Bandages are to stop bleeding not heal your HP to full! It makes no sense that they give such profound amounts of health. While a game doesn’t need to be realistic having Field Bandages heal yourself completely removes the need for healing tools overall! It’s essentially healing yourself with medical tools but takes a little longer. At the very least lower the amount of health it gives and create a threshold at which you cannot gain anymore health.

Compensation

To compensate with the changes the following things will occur:

  • Anyone that spawns with a weapon or obtains one will receive a Field Bandage upon spawn or upon picking up a weapon. Or at the very least let Class-D Medics choose to spawn with Medical Tools or just Field Bandages.

  • Healing Items will spawn around the map such as on tables in PHI and around the cellblock. Maybe even keycards could spawn for Class-D’s and they can be confiscated for a reward.

Reasoning

The reasons why this should be added area:

  1. Combatives have no way to heal unless CSU or F-2 are online.

  2. Security clearly need some sort of healing item so they don’t stay at low health for ages healing items are the best idea to fix this, they shouldn’t need to spam the Field Bandage all the time to regain health and it removes the purpose of needing a doctor drastically.

  3. New healing items make the game more easier to play for combatives instead of needing to constantly spend time to regenerate their health with Field Bandages.

  4. It makes the Class-D experience more enjoyable, needing to purchase Class-D Medic to not bleed to death is insane! You cannot expect people to carry around clunky Medical Tools that take ages to get used to and clutter your inventory to the brink.

  5. It creates a more dynamic and mindful experience for all. Forcing people to purchase Class-D Medic to quite literally not bleed to death is absolutely ridiculous and forces the purchase right in front of everyone face, at that point make a game-pass to play as the Class-D team. It’s the exact reason why I tell people to not purchase a gun game-pass or they’ll have to bleed to death. I mean why let people purchase guns in the Class-D vendor if they can just bleed to death any lose it so easily if they get punched a little too much by a Class-D, or get caught in crossfire. While it makes sense to have bleeding for fun, if it completely changes combat so Combatives always win against the Class-D with no Medic game-pass cause they bleed out, it’s a little bit ridiculous.

  6. Unique game design. Such additions would make the game appear more unique and appealing to everyone, it’s not too bright and blingy and glassy, it’s just right, not everyone will understand what I said just there, it’s mean’t to be that way.

  7. Exposure Therapy. Adding this will make people who are a little too demure talk to others and get to know people, and it will strengthen their people skills and ability to ask for help when needed. Making people ask for Medical Assistance in a game is a perfect way to tackle mental health upon a plethora of individuals.

  8. Calm Balancing. Upon this being added to the game it will create a more moderate atmosphere for everyone to experience, creating a moderate atmosphere is great to ensure safety and civility. Subtle slight changes can drastically change the experience of a player to a more astronomical and divine level never comprehended before.

The End! Thanks for reading.

You’re making the gameplay for CDs worse and attempting to fix non-existant issue.

This is no way an issue for SD at GL. There is literally ammo refill, armor refill and medical stations right there all in one not even behind a door and in full cover.
SD can recover completely from fights at GL.

Absolutely not. It is already annoying enough as BSD to not have a way to heal yourself, so why should CDs also be dragged into the same issue??

.

Injury Punishment:

This does not make people want to get healed more. It makes them hate combat. You are also lowering TTK which is already low enough.
You are also already slowed down if you decide to start patching up bleeding or healing while being chased.
Hunger is already annoying enough.
.

Field Bandage Nerf:

Field bandage having the property to heal alleviates the issue I already pointed; having no way/limited ways to heal. Sure you had medical pen, but whats the point of adding a new tool if it’s purpose is already fulfilled?

Yes. I agree. Everyone with a gun should have access to field bandage.
But the last part is absolutely no. I already said this, you don’t need to drag CDs into the same issue BSD (and other non-F2 or CSU)

.

Reasoning

The reasons why this should be added area:

  1. Combatives have no way to heal unless CSU or F-2 are online.

Yes, it is a problem. I agree. Though they can still heal by spamming field bandage at medical stations (which are not always as accessible (e.g there are none in Omicron mines or CB)).

Generally, the only thing I can agree on is that non-F2/CSU need more accessible self-healing, be through buffing field bandage or just adding more medical stations around.
You are trying to drag CDs into the same issue.

CD gameplay is bad enough already.

Response

Absolutely not. It is already annoying enough as BSD to not have a way to heal yourself, so why should CDs also be dragged into the same issue??

So your point is that you disapprove of balancing? Healing shouldn’t be able to be done 24/7. Class-D’s can always revive themself and it’s a bit of an overpowered advantage, whilst it’s their biggest if they can keep healing and continue to use their less powerful weapons it completely removes the point of having the Class-D vendor.

I get your point but it’s about adding diversity to the game instead of limiting people to use a certain amount of items. Along with that adding diversity is interesting, instead of making a whole debate about adding a few simple items to the game why not just accept that change will happen no matter what. Along with that making people spam field bandages is a bit cheapskate, I assume that the development team would be able to make a few simple models and basic scripts, if they’re really not able to add new content they could simply copy the field bandage script and change how long it takes to use to lower and change the healing stats accordingly, and change the model and make a simple animation and you have a new healing tool.

Strongest Point

This is probably your strongest point thus why I have attached an image instead.

While it is absolutely not needed I wanted to add consideration to it such as things they could do to balance, I must have accidentally forgot to add this, examples of considerations would be:

  • It gives a better purpose to the hunger bar instead of it just making you slower, it also brings in healing to the purpose.

  • Recovering from injuries will strengthen your bones to a threshold at which having an injury will not slow you down.

  • Having healed injuries will make those bones stronger meaning you require less medical attention. Perhaps the splint could be added faster and the tourniquet is slower, which means that you can be revived faster after experiencing injuries.

  • Allows for a more dynamic experience and prepares the game for the strength bar update in the event it is added.

Requires Elaboration

Please elaborate your point. If you have an issue with people being able to choose if they want to spawn with Medical Tools or not please elaborate your point more as it is not understandable.

Please also elaborate your point on “TTK”, abbreviations shouldn’t be done if you’re making a formal approach to a message. Ensure you remember this before creating another professional response.

Not everything will be replied to in this message.

It is already annoying for Non-F2/CSU to not be able to heal. You don’t need to bring CDs into the issue as well.
So why don’t you try solving the first issue instead of making another issue?
Is it balanced? Maybe?? Is it fun though? Hell no.

Like I said, you don’t need to make hunger more annoying. Being unable to run and heal is already annoying enough.

Having medical tools used faster has no real effect as they are already fast enough (0.5-1s)

.

Please elaborate your point. If you have an issue with people being able to choose if they want to spawn with Medical Tools or not please elaborate your point more as it is not understandable.

I’ve now said for the 3rd time. You do not need to drag CDs into the same issue as Non-F2/CSU. Solve the combative’s issue instead of making identical issue for CDs.

It should be annoying! You shouldn’t always be able to be revived! That’s not how life works dear. It’s not fun for combatives when Class-D’s get too powerful and have unlimited medical items.

If you think it isn’t fun then maybe there should be a reward added for refilling your stock! Like maybe you could get a cash reward or a Roblox badge for being well prepared.

Dear if your injured and have no food in your stomach you wouldn’t be able to heal, while I agree that games don’t need to be realistic, the hunger bar needs more punishment added because civils can just walk around relaxingly, only Class-D and Combatives need to run. To make sure civilians use the hunger bar this is the best idea.

Along with that you could just maybe make it ignore a limb from needing medical attention instead.

Dear you could just give some Class-D’s healing items as well! You can make a more dynamic experience.

Why do you insist on making a feature annoying and unfun instead of fixing the issue which some combatives have?

The hunger bar does not need more punishment. No sprint is already annoying enough.
Civils won’t get affected by what you suggest either way. They’re not getting shot 24/7 like SD and MTF are, and when they do it’s not that serious because they near their spawn and don’t need to respond to any incident.
