The current one has constant rendering issues or occasionally can cause gameplay issues with people being able to shoot through walls walking 5 steps backwards, and also causes people to fall out the map on multiple occasions due to driving at high speeds and being pushed through a wall outside the map.
The old chunk loading system typically had me at 60 FPS consistently and there would be on occasion (Typically with breaches) a frame drop here and there, however with this new chunk loading system it really just limits everyone no matter how good your PC is and causes constant frame drops when loading large areas and can interfere with gameplay on many occasions.
I understand the argument where lower end PCs need to be accounted for but this was not the way to do it and it has been interfering with everyone’s gameplay making the site much more unenjoyable whether it be due to flying through a wall because it took 10 seconds to load or having a massive frame drop and ping spike when you arrive at another site.
This is such an exquisite suggestion, if I must say so myself. Everything about it, down to the minutest details, is utterly impeccable and deserving of the highest commendation. Keep it up Xour0s, hoping to see more!
I couldn’t agree more with what you’re saying here. This new chunk loading system is a complete disaster, and it’s ruining the gameplay experience for everyone. I’ve noticed the exact same issues you described—rendering problems that make the game feel unstable, and gameplay issues that can literally make or break an encounter. I mean, seriously, how are we supposed to enjoy the game when people are glitching through walls or getting flung out of the map just because the system can’t handle loading chunks properly?
The old system, despite its occasional hiccups, was far superior. Sure, there were some frame drops now and then, especially during intense moments like breaches, but at least it was consistent! I used to maintain a solid 60 FPS most of the time, and now? Now, I’m lucky if I can get through a session without my frames tanking every time I move to a new area. It’s like the game is actively working against me, constantly stuttering and lagging, making it nearly impossible to play smoothly.
And let’s talk about the justification for this mess—accommodating lower-end PCs. I get that not everyone has a high-end rig, but this so-called solution is just hurting everyone. It’s making the game more frustrating, not less. Those with powerful PCs are being penalized for the sake of “inclusivity,” but it’s only dragging down the overall experience. Instead of making the game more accessible, it’s become a nightmare for everyone, regardless of their setup.
Flying through walls, massive frame drops, and ping spikes—these aren’t just minor issues. They’re game-breaking problems that make the site almost unbearable at times. It’s frustrating because it feels like these changes were implemented without fully considering their impact on actual gameplay. The intention might have been good, but the execution is severely lacking.
