Right now, there are 3 Secondary Breach Shelters and 1 primary shelter. MP is normally in charge of making sure all 4 are operated, and stay safe. This can be hard to do as Base SD often times don’t listen to orders and open up the shelters when they shouldn’t. For this reason, I suggest adding a Breach Shelter Control Room.
This control room would be located within the primary shelter where the current control room is for the primary shelter. This control room would have 4 terminals, 1 for each shelter.
Each terminal would by default have 2 buttons. 1 to toggle the door and 1 to lockdown the door. These features would be useful in ensuring that the doors aren’t opened at inappropriate times, and to keep personnel outside from opening the shelter and risking everyone inside. There would also be a door status indicator display, showing if the door is opened, closed or destroyed.
Each terminal would also have a camera feed, showing the outside of the shelter and the inside too. This would help determine when to shut the shelters from afar and when it’s safe to open them, and the inside camera would show if there’s anyone inside the shelter to begin with.
For the Omicron Shelter, I suggest that riot foam is added for the Class-D part, only able to be used from the control room in the primary shelter. For the primary shelter, there would be an extra button to arm the main door, as the open/close button would be for the smaller gate.
This addition would make evacuation efforts a lot easier to coordinate, and also make it easier for MP or whoever the evacuation organizer is, to control evacuation efforts.
